- Day 4 -
After the hooha with the driver-guide on the 3rd day, I was not looking forward to the tour on the 4th day. But then, I realised that this tour was booked with another tour operator, APT. The last time I went to Perth, all our tours were booked with them too.
The tour operator we went with for the past 2 days specialised in small group tours, meaning, their vans accommodate to about 20 pax each. Whereas with APT, they use buses. Overall, although I prefer smaller group, I find that APT buses are more comfortable compared to the smaller vans. Also, the tour we went with today, only have about 20 pax on board! Hehehe.. so the trick is: travel off-peak!! Hahaahhah...
ANYWAY...
The guide was quite funny.. joked a lot about his personal life. There's this part that I find it so funny. He was telling some facts of the places that we're going and also about Melbourne. Then he remarked, "My ex-wife often says that I'm a walking encyclopedia for useless information". HAHAHAAHAH!!
**********
1st stop - Puffing Billy
It was a great day, bright and sunny.. It wasn't as cold as the few days when we were here, but I still took an extra sweater out with me, cause the weather here suka suka change one lorr..
We had our morning tea at this place called Sherbrooke Forest? Think so larr..
The driver-guide was telling us that they will be serving this sponge cake with strawberry jam, which is very taste. I was a bit skeptical at first and I don't really take breakfast lorrr..
But when Ses Lee took her first bite and said, " Ei, Irene, this is really good lehh".. I took 1 piece and it was YUMMY!!!
After the morning tea, it was time to feed the birds again!!
This one's really cute.. but it didn't want to eat the seeds on my hand no matter how I tried to entice it.. kns!!
Want to know why I looked so scared??
Cause these big birds are coming after me.. AND THEY'LL BITE THE HANDS LORR...
So I'm trying to avoid them at all costs!!
So cute horr... heheh..
After all the feeding, we left the place and went to ride the Puffing Billy Steam Train.
Nice sign horr...
It only said no standing, didn't say no sitting, right?? Anyway, the driver-guide said we could... heheeh..
Maciam never ride on trains before.. hahaha...
Suaku lorr.. A guy who was with us on the tour kept looking at us and laughing lorr.. Itu Ses Lee kept saying, " Ei, that guy laughing at us again lehh.." I was like laugh mar laugh lorr.. not as if I'll see him again!!
We got down at Menzie's Creek
Next stop - Yarra Valley
We went to Yarra Valley next, but it was more for lunch. But since we did not take the package with lunch, and we weren't really hungry, we went photo-taking instead!!
Final stop - Healesville
We were given an option; either visit a winery or the Healeville Sanctuary, of which we chose the latter.
See, I get to touch a Koala bear!!.. ok larr.. it's a dead bear.. but better than nothing, right??!!!
The weather was really getting hot now.. you can see that I've taken off my sweater and rolling up my sleeves..
First time I perspired ever since I arrive in Melbourne!! Hahaah..
They have this clinic here for Australia's native animals.
An operation going on behind those glass shelves. You can see it on the screen.

A sample of what you need in a car boot, in case you found any injured native animal.

This looked interesting..

Guess what's in there..

A sick birdie!! HAHAHAHAHAAH.. So the cute lorr..

This is a rather interesting tree.. It don't sheds its leaves.. It sheds the tree bark instead.. cute horr..
The friendly ranger..
The rangers there are mostly volunteers. But they were very, very friendly lorr.. unlike the rangers we saw on the 3rd day, face so kiam pak..
Fun.. but REALLY hot day!!
**********
Got back to Melbourne city around 5pm. Decided to take the city's tram to look at the sights. It's free afterall..
Waiting for dinner to be served..
Will be flying home tomorrow.. SIEN ARR!!!
